![]() A quick question. What do Mutes and Red Noses have in common? They are available in Walgreens and Duane Reade outlets across the US. Head Mute exponent, Rhinomed CEO, Michael Johnson was in New York last week to oversee the launch of his anti-snoring device into 800 GNC stores across America. This supplements the distribution of Mute through the Walgreens chain and means the product is now available in 4,000 stores globally, almost double the reach that the company had achieved just a year earlier. And Michael is hoping to expand significantly on those numbers in 2017. Coincidentally, the GNC foray came as Walgreens and Duane Reade started their serious promotion of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day which will be broadcast over three hours on NBC on Thursday, May 25th. The highlight this year will be a short reenactment by the cast of Love Actually to see which of the principal characters has aged the most gracefully. The betting is that Liam Neeson will take the prize or he will go all Taken over his fellow thespians. The movement has raised over $1 billion for various children's poverty charities since it was launched in the UK 25 years ago. A Red Nose goes for just $1 and can be purchased at Walgreens and Duane Reades within sight of the elegantly configured Mute packages and is well worth supporting. *Disclosure. Rhinomed is a client of Columbus Circle Corporate, which is a snoring hotbed, a shareholder and proud possessor of Red Noses.
